In Star Trek Online, the surviving Romulans are trying to colonize a new planet.

You can even play a Romulan, but have to side with either Starfleet or the Klingons.

The synopsis for the new series I just read says that "Picard takes to space to address a great injustice, but does it without the involvement of Star Fleet"

Not the most promising thing I've heard so far.

I lost interest when they named the dog Number 1.

I grew up on TNG but it really hasn't aged well for me and as I became more exposed to TOS I really don't like Picard as much as a character.

My guess would be he's going to be much like Spock was in TNG off doing rogue diplomacy trying to save the Romulans maybe reunify them w Vulcan.  I might have those mixed up I get confused over what planet get exploded in what timeline.

Add in some PTSD from the Borg and memories issues from the future we saw in All Good Things along w his mind meld w Spock and Sarek I'm sure Sir Patrick will kill in the acting department

Q showing up at the end might back it all worthwhile

Oh Jean Luc didn't you know you have been in the Nexus all of these years and I just let you have your fun..  Now off the to the after life with you and really a dog?

Goddammit... now I need to watch this, if only to view it as a much more fitting epilogue to the NEXT GENERATION, after NEMESIS helped screech their adventures to a dead-halt.

We shall see.  Not expecting to be blown away, but fingers crossed!

That was a good more effective than I was expecting as well. I'm not much for TNG on the whole, but that trailer alone made elements of Nemesis carry much more impact.

Still doesn't help make it a better movie!  :P

TNG deserved a proper swan song... while it isn't a feature film, "STAR TREK: PICARD" may be the closest thing we ever get.  In that regard, I'll be willing to give this one a look-see.

TNG, as I've said time and again, isn't "my" Trek.  But I did watch every season as it aired and I'll be damned if this trailer didn't spark something unexpected in me.  I got literal goosebumps watching it and am genuinely excited to see Picard put together a crew to do...what?  I don't know.  But I'm in.

Not available in my region! Why are things like this
region specific, surely publicity is universal?
