I only read 3 issues. It was plagued by delays (ONE issue shipped in 2006). It felt like DC were taking the piss by not sticking to the schedule. There are delays - and then there are delays. Whether the book was monthly or bimonthly (I can't recall), one issue in a year is taking the piss.

So I dropped it.

What I did read was horrible. Shoving Alfred and telling Grayson to go and eat rats is, what they hell were they thinking?

Robbie -- there was an ALL-STAR BATMAN by Scott Snyder and John Romita Jr. in 2016.

Thought so. Thanks. I was surprised they used the name, given how tainted "All-Star Batman" was.

I have not met anyone who liked Miller's ASB. Of course, I haven't met a lot of comic readers in person. It's a small social circle for me, but for those who I have met, or those I've chatted to in my LCS, there were no positive words about it, whatsoever.

Robbie,
Even the DKR fans I know, who worship at the altar of Frank Miller's Batman and think Jim Lee is the all-time greatest comic book artist, don't like All-Star Batman.

I like Miller as a writer (loved his DAREDEVIL work) and Jim Lee is a superlative artist, but I was wondering if ALL-STAR BATMAN was meant to be a joke.
