Hello, friends! Today is Yom Kippur, the most important holiday in the Jewish calendar. It is the end of our new years celebration.
So first - a happy and healthy new year to you all. May the new year bring health, satisfaction, success, and happiness to you and yours, and may you be inscribed in the Book of Life for a good year.
Second, Yom Kippur is the Day of Atonement. It is the time of year when we reflect and consider our actions and repercussions of the previous year. It is the time to atone; so I ask you to forgive me any transgressions I may have committed against you, and I forgive you for anything you feel you may have done to me. In this new year... May you be strong enough to bear your burdens easily and gracefully; May you be smart enough to face any challenge presented to you, and wise enough to a good lesson from it; May you be; invested enough to be able to turn to your friend, your neighbor, your family, or a complete stranger, and offer them a greeting, a hand, a meal, a ride, or however else you can help them; May you be wise enough and courageous enough to be a bright example to those who look to you, as a shining beacon in the dark.
Happy new year, and many more.
