From personal experience, I can tell you the crabs in NS are an aggressive lot, always raising their claws to fight.

I found out one summer after boiling crabs my grandparents caught that I'm allergic to them. Ate just one part of a buttered arm and my throat and tongue were swollen and my skin red and itchy! So I'm thinking green crabs would be like kryptonite to me.

Let's hope there is a Professor C of the green X-crabs to keep the followers of Crabneto in line! I can't be of any help with my allergy. :^(

Everyone should be allergic to those things. My dad
threatened to throw some crabs into the bath with me
when I was a child. scarred for life.

The story JB posted reminded me of this video I saw recently. Killer Whelks! Who knew?!

More information here.

In one of the lakes where we conduct diver training you find the North American Signal Crayfish which can be quite harmful because they carry a plague which is extremely harmful to the UK's indigenous white-clawed crayfish. A couple of other dive sites we use still have the UK variety but they are an endangered species.
