Here's what awaits me once I make my way to the LCS:

  • CATWOMAN #4 - Only one issue behind, but my son likes the series.
  • AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #7 - One of the few titles I'm actually up to date on.  I'm quite enjoying this version of Spider-Man (though why Peter doesn't just shack up with MJ is beyond me).
  • JUGHEAD THE HUNGER #9 - I'm a little behind on this title - too much going on in my life.  I've gotta say, though, that I really wish they'd pick up on the Afterlife with Archie series, but I'm assuming now that it's dead (pun intended)!
  • BACK ISSUE #108 - It's an Aquaman themed issue.  I'm so far behind on complete readings of this title, but I do enjoy it.  I can stop and start it at any point in the magazine, and it doesn't matter what issue I'm on.  To my memory, there was only one issue that I didn't have the slightest interest in any of the articles, so it's almost always a good read.

Amazing Spider-Man #7 - Enjoying Nick Spencer's run so far.

Wildstorm: Michael Cray #12 - Last issue. Fun series but suffered from bad art.

My Heroes Have Always Been Junkies - Always glad to see new work from the Brubaker/Phillips team. An original hardcover graphic novel at that, albeit a shorter one.

Hawkman #5- Still surprising me with how much I like it.

Superman #4- Bendis hasn't given me a reason to drop it yet.

Avengers #9- I'm always on the cusp of dropping this because I don't particularly care for Aaron's superhero work but there's just enough to keep me around. I do have to say that he falls into the Marvel writer trap of "Let me look for an older, established character to kill off" and he doesn't write a particularly good Namor.

Captain America #4- Another book that I thought would not be my cup of tea because I feel Coates is a pretty boring writer but that hasn't been the case so far.

Re-reading my post I realize that I have a bit of a disconnect with the modern comics audience because Bendis, Aaron, and Coates are darlings of the internet and I don't consider myself a fan on any of them.

Mr Kane, I kept meaning to read HAWKMAN, but it went off my radar (no reason why).

Outside the big guns, Hawkman and Aquaman were my favourites as a kid. And I suppose some might debate whether they were and are big guns.

I'd say all three have more people who on the internet are vocally against them than for them.

Hey Kids, Comics! #3 - So far, so interesting.  It's nice to see Chaykin still working as I feel he's underrated as an artist.

Star Wars Adventures: Tales from Vader's Castle #2 - The first issue was fun, I'll finish out the 5 issues.

Superman #4 - I really am surprised I'm liking this book...

On the Back Issue Front:

Dracula Lives #3 - October 1973 Issue, the Neal Adams cover pulled me in...
