I'm reading FANTASTIC FOUR...BEHOLD GALACTUS via the Kindle, which reprints the original trilogy, the Gabriel the Air-Walker issues - and our host's FF #242-244.
There's the scene in FF #242 where Reed and Sue discuss the mechanical, hi-tech Christmas tree. Who wouldn't want a Christmas tree you could keep forever?
I'd forgotten about that!
So, are there any "forgotten moments" for you from any of our host's comics? Particularly intimate moments? We all remember the big moments, but what about the smaller moments?
(Be visual if you want, although I couldn't find the tree scene via Google images).

That was my first JB FF issue. Bought it in Scotland for the car journey back to England!

Two such moments immediately come to mind.
In FF #270, Johnny and Alicia are speaking in his loft, and she has to leave. She kisses him on the cheek and goes. I could almost feel that kiss, and it started such a brand new page in Marvel history (which others felt free to adulterate later, but that's not the point.)
Another is in Batman/Captain America. It's not a small moment, but nothing happens during the scene... but it's the Bat-Cave. The BAT-CAVE. I love that page. Batmobiles, Bat-Boat, trophies, and all... and then to set the perspective, Batman and Robin and Cap and Bucky and Alfred are tiny figures in the lower left corner. It fills my heart.

Ugh! I realize none of my tales can ever be bulletproof, but I’d prefer they not be undone with Silver Age DC concepts!

"Alicia was a skrull..."
One of the worst & most insulting retcons I ever read, from the supposed "House of Ideas."

Namorita sticks her head underwater to talk to Namor.
Namor stops Reed from capturing a therma-ray.

Speaking of BEHOLD GALACTUS, my god that's a monstrous book. I love it!
Have you got a comp copy JB? If so, how does it feel being in such a mighty book alongside Lee/Kirby?

I knew of no such volume until recently. It was a Kindle recommendation, so I bought it immediately.
I will get that bumper book instead!

Decades ago Marvel published a rather uninspired trade paperback called something like FANTASTIC FOUR’S GREATEST BATTLES. It was basically a collection of out-of-context fight scenes. But on the cover it said LEE KIRBY BYRNE. Coulda dropped dead right then and considered my life well lived!

In the Air-Walker stories, Galactus ends up in the Negative Zone, where Reed says he'll be able to "consume" planets indefinitely.
I didn't see a Galactus appearance again until our host's stories.
I have Googled, but does anyone know why/how Galactus left the Negative Zone? When I read the 70s issues, there was a permanence, according to Reed, with regards to Galactus being sent to the Negative Zone.
Can anyone fill in the gaps, please?
