That's odd. I recall him promising to lower the debt and eliminate it in 8 years. It's not like him to promise things then do the opposite. I suspect this is entirely someone else's fault, but I'll wait for the President to confirm that with one of his fact-filled tweets.

He totally wrecked the US economy until Trump came along to save it with debt-funded tax cuts and a massive increase in military expenditure.
