One day early as I'm going on vacation to New Orleans and then a week in Mexico.  So as a warning, no weekly bulletin next week as I'll be in a no-internet zone.

To see next week's list (next week) go to this topic and click "what are you getting" and the list for Nov 21 with magically appear.  Back doing this in 2 weeks.

Now for this week's pickings:
  • CATWOMAN #5 - I'm an issue or two behind on this title, but it's also being followed by my son
  • AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #9 - One issue behind, but I am enjoying the main title
  • DAREDEVIL #611 - One issue behind.
  • DOMINO #8 - Well behind on this title, but I like the concept of Domino so I will continue to play catch up.
  • PETER PARKER SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN #312 - Also an issue or two behind (I lead a very busy life, I guess)
  • BACK ISSUE #109 - Always a fun title for me.
What are you getting?

I've been enjoying JAMES BOND: ORIGIN so looking forward to the third issue.

STAR TREK/TRANSFORMERS #1 was a lot of fun so it'll be good to see where it progresses with #2.

Looks like a fairly big week for me:

THE BEAUTY #25
CEMETERY BEACH #3
CYBERFORCE #7
DARK ARK #11
GIDEON FALLS #8
JOOK JOINT #2

Ended up adding DR. HORRIBLE: BEST FRIENDS FOREVER and BITTER ROOT #1 to the above.

MISTER MIRACLE #12
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #9
FANTASTIC FOUR #3

Considering ELECTRIC WARRIORS #1 and UNCANNY X-MEN #1 (though the 8 dollar price tag and weekly nature of the book seems like gouging and puts me off so I think I'll stick with the back issues). Also that Bryan Hitch cover on HAWKMAN #6 is hard to resist.

Thanks for doing this, Phil. Enjoy your vacation!

Mage Hero Denied #13- Continuing this great saga!

G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #257- Consistently a favorite.

Hawkman #6- I'm still enjoying this book, it's got alot going on but doesn't seem convoluted to me.

Superman #5- Still haven't had too many problems with Bendis' run so far even though Lois said "Baby" when referring to Clark WAY too much in the last issue of Action Comics.

Captain America #5- I think the pacing needs to pick up a little.

Fantastic Four #3- I'm trying to give this book a chance to win me over and so far, nothing's working. It doesn't help that I've recently started re-reading my Fantastic Four collection and this can't compare to that.

I'm going to look at Uncanny X-Men #1 but I'm pretty positive after I look at it, I'm going to put it back. Ed Brisson is the only one out of the THREE(?!?!) writers who writes stuff that I've liked. The art looks okay but the designs of the characters (Nightcrawler!) don't look like the X-Men to me.

Just picked up:

Amazing Spider-Man
Avengers
Captain America
Daredevil
Domino
Fantastic Four
Thor

and thought I'd try the new Uncanny X-Men although I'm pretty sure I won't like it. Picked the classic Dave Cockrum ad variant cover. Expensive!

GI Joe 257 - very high quality title

FF 3 - I'm trying to really get in to this, but it seems to be lacking something. I'll give it a few more issues.

Captain America 5 - Moving too slow. After the Mark Waid run that moved at a pace, this just isn't working for me. I'm considering dropping it.

Big week for me actually(and I forgot one, Cosmic Ghost Rider #5):

Mister Miracle #12 - I've enjoyed this story, it's been different but I've enjoyed it.

Superman #5 - I still can't believe I'm reading a Bendis comic and actually kind of enjoying it...

Hey Kids! Comics! #4 - I hope this series goes beyond the first arc...

Mage: The Hero Denied #13 - 2 more issues until the end...

Fantastic Four #3 - Now that Marvel 2 in 1 is almost caught up...

Star Wars: Darth Vader #23 - Vader's Castle continues...

Star Wars: Doctor Aphra #26 - New storyline begins, after last issue we'llsee how this goes...

I also picked up the Jack Kirby Miracle Man TPB this past weekend, been enjoying the Kirby goodness there...

G.I. JOE is very good.

Yours truly got a letter printed in it recently, asking for Raptor to make an appearance. So if any Raptor fans ever feel the need to write in and request an appearance, well...

So is Hey Kids comic that good ? I don't know if I should wait for a French edition to come one day soon or if I should buy the back issues now ?
