My picks are the same as Allan's.

Will not be surprised if the Seahawks beat the Cowboys the way Dallas has played lately. But I'm already picking the Saints to be in the Super Bowl, anyway.

Saturday, January 5

  • Colts at Texans
  • Seahawks at Cowboys

Sunday, January 6

  • Chargers at Ravens
  • Eagles at Bears
Colts might win, but the edge goes to the Texans at home.  Seahawks are better than their record.  The Chargers have the better record and are the better team in that match up.  And the Bears have the best defense of any team in the playoffs, Eagles will be plucked, fried, and served on a platter.

Saturday, January 5

  • Colts at Texans- This game is the most interesting to me. The Colts shut out the Cowboys and were shutout by the Jags. Texans may have already peaked. Tough one.
  • Seahawks at Cowboys- The good news is one of these two teams will be out of the playoffs. The bad news is one will still be in!

Sunday, January 6

  • Chargers at Ravens- The Chargers and Rivers need to fight back  their tendency to "choke".
  • Eagles at Bears- Eagles as Champs officially ends here.

Saturday, January 5

  • Colts (6th seed) at Texans (3rd seed) - The logo is a horseshoe and the QB's name is Luck; that has to pay off eventually
  • Seahawks (5th seed) at Cowboys (4th seed) - Seahawks keep plugging away, though.  If they get some turnovers...

Sunday, January 6

  • Chargers (5th seed) at Ravens (4th seed) - I have to think the Ravens QB can't keep this up.
  • Eagles (6th seed) at Bears (3rd seed) - But Foles though.  I am a believer in Foles.

Wild Card rounds I'm loathe to pick away teams.  Odds are the home team wins, so my only road pick are the Colts.  Otherwise, home sweep for the rest of the bunch.

Saturday, January 5
  • Colts (6th seed) at Texans (3rd seed) Should be close but I'm nodding to the Colts' stealthy 9 wins in 10 games including at Houston last month.
  • Seahawks (5th seed) at Cowboys Dak has never won a playoff game... time to put on big boy pants?

Sunday, January 6

  • Chargers (5th seed) at Ravens On paper at home Baltimore is tough but Rivers in his prime and having his best season carries the day, plus LA excellent on road.
  • Eagles (6th seed) at Bears (3rd seed) Philly won 5 of 6 to sneak back in but three of those wins were Giants, Wash, Wash and the Bears have been consistent all year.  Chicago just feels due.

Well, we're two games in and I'm 2 for 2!  Texans just looked awful.

That Ravens Game, the Chargers let them back in near the end but I'm good with no Ravens further in the playoffs.  I wonder if the Bears kicker will still have a job after he showers...

Five uprights and one crossbar!  Ouch, Chicago!
