I hope that January is going well for everyone here on the forum.  Here's what awaits me at the LCS:
  • BATMAN WHO LAUGHS #2 - I picked up the first issue as it looked really interesting.  I have not read it yet, so I'll likely read both this week.  Sort of like Netflix for comics.
  • CATWOMAN #7 - I'm behind on this title, though my son, who also reads it, is up-to-date
  • AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #13 - This is a title that I'm really enjoying, though more MJ!
  • BACK ISSUE #110 - Always an enjoyable fixture, though it takes me a ton of time to get through each issue. Issue 110 is a is a “Make Mine Marvel” issue, with an article on STEVE ENGLEHART’s “lost” issues of West Coast Avengers! Plus: DENNY O’NEIL and CARMINE INFANTINO’s Marvel work, a MARK WAID/ANN NOCENTI Daredevil Pro2Pro interview, British Bronze Age Marvel fandom, plus histories of Pizzazz Magazine, Speedball, and the anthology Marvel Comics Presents.  I special order BACK ISSUE, and my LCS is very accommodating on this.  I only recall one issue of the magazine where nothing interested me at all, so it's a pretty good read.  Moreover, you can see a preview of the latest issue here

DARK ARK #13
GIDEON FALLS #10

Both these books continue to be great.

BLACK WIDOW #1

I like the Soska Sisters, so I'm curious enough to see how they write this.

FROM HELL MASTER EDITION #3 (MR) - This is just a colored version of From Hell. Not sure that color adds a lot to Eddie Campbell's art but I'm buying because I like Eddie Campbell and rereading it as it comes out in the process.

SUPERGIRL #26 - New Kevin Maguire art is always a good thing and this book is a fun read. Never been a huge fan of the character but am enjoying this book quite a bit.

ELECTRIC WARRIORS #3 - Like Foreman's art and still need to read all three issues of this to be honest.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #13 - Still enjoying this book, for the first time in maybe a decade. Dropped it during the JMS run and what little I read of Slott  on the Marvel Universe site didn't entice me to pick it back up.

FANTASTIC FOUR #6 - Looking forward to reading this one. Nice Doom cover.

Also picked up four of the dollar True Believers Conan issues with art respectively by Barry Smith, Gil Kane, Neal Adams, and John Buscema and would've gotten the new Conan the Barbarian #2 if the shop hadn't sold out. Supposedly it's been reordered.

Fantastic Four # 6 - After a slow start, and a bit worry where Dan Slott was going, this issue really kicked in for me.

Amazing Spider-Man # 13 - A good Spidey run on this title. Like, Shane, the first time I have enjoyed the title since about 1992!!!

Pretty big week...

Detective Comics #996- Tomasi writes a great Batman.

Hawkman #8- I'm still enjoying this.

Superman #7- There are some Bendis-isms that are bugging me.

Wonder Woman #62- I've liked this more than any version lately.

Amazing Spider-Man #13- Better than I ever expected.

Conan the Barbarian #2- Better than the last few Dark Horse volumes.

Fantastic Four #6- Dan Slott has been making his supporting cast the stars of his books lately. I hope that stops here.

Invaders #1- We'll see. Jackson Guice is the selling point for me.

Uncanny X-Men #10- Last weekly issue. I'm skipping the Age of X-Man stuff.

Yeah, Back Issue is pretty dense reading. It used to be on my pull list, and then I noticed an ever growing pile of issues I had not read because the Theme of the Month did not interest me, e.g., DC Romance Comics of the 1970s.

Box is in the mail so I'm an issue behind on most of these.

OUTPOST ZERO #6

WICKED & DIVINE #41

LODGER #3

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #13 - really hoping this doesn't turn into The Return of Frederick Foswell. They can still leave some characters dead right?

CONAN THE BARBARIAN #2 - haven't gotten around to reading #1 yet, so I snagged this one in case I liked it. That makes sense, right?

FANTASTIC FOUR #6

INVADERS #1 - thinking about it, anyway. The store I checked today was sold out, but if I see it around in the coming weeks it'll at least get a flip check.
