NYT

It’s called vote-splitting.

The thing that I found most shocking in 2016 about Sanders was that 1 in 10 of his voters voted for Trump:

The graphs they show later in the article show that his support was more complex than just lefties, but still. I wonder how they feel about it now?

Yep. Based on Facebook, it appears his Bros have learned nothing and forgotten nothing. I hope everybody recalls how in 2016 he took a cue from the rancid sleazeball likes of Mike Huckabee and tried to schedule his own event with Trump.

Or, alternatively, should he secure the Democratic nomination (which he probably should have in 2016, there was chicanery in a lot of primaries), he might be able to beat Trump by being a candidate that actually represents policy changes that will improve peoples' lives.

I mean, I agree that just about anything is better than Trump, but people also seem not to realize that part of what happened in 2016 is that the Democrats ran a horrible candidate against him that excited no one.  No one is going to win on an 'I'm not him' platform no matter how hated he is.  If you don't believe me, ask John Kerry.  Sanders is actually offering something that in 2016, and the 2018 midterms, got people excited and sent them out to the polls.

Trump and Sanders were both anti establishment in
their minds, so they would rather vote for Trump than
Hillary, because you can't get more establishment that
that

These two short videos talk about how people want
change not the establishment and compare Trump and
Sanders.

Thanks Thomas, I was struggling a bit in understanding all of this, but thankfully you come through again with a short video that takes a complex subject and cuts straight to the heart of the matter with unsubstantiated pro-Trump opinions.

I would be lost without these "Rosetta Stone" like videos to help me think.

White fear elected Trump. We can only hope after four years his supporters will have found at least one White guy to be afraid of.

I think the Democrats have one big advantage this time.
They will totally ignore all the pollsters saying
Hillary has it in the bag, very high chance of winning
(so many stay home and don't bother to vote). If they
want Trump out this time, they will make sure to get up
and vote.
