Or... or maybe they could freakishly fuse together to form the omnipotent weapon... Excalolnir! Or Mjolibur! Or... or maybe both!! And the devastation from the impact of these two forces could be so vast that it propels the ruined Earth into an other-dimensional fantasy realm where Thor's helmet is lost to him and he runs about shirtless in a pageboy haircut and fur pants and King Arthur's bones don a purple hood and create a musculature of dead, blue flesh for themselves, seeking to reunite the two halves of the divided blade as part of their evil scheme to rule this new land we can then call... Eternia!!
