Does anyone know how many countries had their own edition of Superman #1 (1987)? Here's the few I own... starting with the obvious one...

In Brazil we didn't get the cover. Or the number 1.
That's Ordway, of course. But the story was from Superman 1.

I believe it's a Hebrew edition -- published in Israel.

I guess the image on that Israeli cover was flipped for design purposes, but it's interesting the editor in charge didn't seem concerned with making the "S" on Superman's emblem face the right direction.

Here's the Norwegian edition. As usual for here, it contains two issues (52 pages): In this case Superman # 1 and 2.

Here's the German Superman No. 1. "Der neue Superman" means "The New Superman". The magazine had 48 pages (sometimes "only" 44 pages) and collected two issues, depending on the story, it was either Superman and Action Comics or Superman and Adventures of Superman.
It was printed on glossy paper. in regular magazine size, which was maybe 10-15% larger than a US comic book.

The entire book is printed in reverse order. From what I understand, Hebrew reads right to left. That cover I posted is the “back cover” for someone that doesn’t read Hebrew.
