I'm looking forward to what's announced for Disney+. My bet is that they'll take the basic Jen-as-lawyer premise for the bulk of the episodes (it's cheaper, for one thing) but leaven it with a once- or twice per season "big screen" story akin to what JB did for much of his run.

Any candidates for adaptation come to mind?

Just signed up for the three year deal myself.  $46.66 a year?  I spend more on two movie tickets and concessions on a single afternoon here in LA.  Can't beat it.  Too good to pass up...and I thought $69.99/year was a steal!

This is the first streaming service I've purchased.
It comes to about $4 a month with tax, I skip one fast food stop a month and I'm ahead of the game!*

*yes, I still must find a way to justify buying a streaming service. It's my hang up, leave me alone!

Doug, i justified Netflix, by dropping a couple of
monthly magazines! As i no longer buy a load of comics
per month, i can justify Disney+ as a couple of comics.

I got the deal for my family! Descendants and other related material for my 8 year-old daughter, the classic stuff for my wife, and the Marvel and Star Wars stuff for me was easy to justify doing it but there will be so much more content. It's an easy yes to the offer!

I still do the justify it thing but then I think I used to rent movies or purchase DVD box sets probably at 40 -60 bucks a month currently all of my streaming for me adds up to way less than that.

This.  I bought season sets of BUFFY for what at the time was "on the cheap" from Costco for $39.  Ditto STAR TREK.  PER SEASON.  To get everything Disney+ is offering for $46/year feels like I'm stealing from them...but we all know that it's a brilliant marketing plan to make the service evergreen and they'll more than likely get more out of me than I even know based on the lifetime of the subscription.  Oh well.  I signed up!

And of course, I'm starting to read about how Disney+
is going to be...complicated...in Canada.
Essentially, there are certain properties that are
exclusive to the various Disney channels here in
Canada, and will stay that way. Meaning, one will
have to check on a show-by-show basis to see exactly
what platform is carrying what you want to watch.

Key section:

"For viewers, figuring out which Disney shows are
available on the Disney Plus platform could prove
complicated.

For instance, Disney has a broadcasting deal with
Toronto-based media company Corus Entertainment, which
operates the Disney Channel and several other family
channels that carry the company's new shows.

Corus representative Ashley Applebaum said the "strong
partnership" between the two companies hasn't changed
for Disney programming made for broadcast television.

"Corus will continue to exclusively offer first-run
premieres of the newest series, specials and Disney
movies on Disney Channel, Disney JR and Disney XD in
Canada, airing day and date with the U.S.," she said
in an emailed statement.

Eiley suggests that'll put the onus on viewers to do
their own homework and figure out which shows are on
which platform."

I, too,  feel the need to justify my spending. It only makes sense, really. And I also couldn't pass on this 3 year deal.

Has anyone heard anything about the fate of Disney movies on TCM? The Fall day of Disney movies is today; I haven't kept close track, but I thought it fell closer to the official change of seasons. I this a rush to get what they can before Disney+ takes it away?
