I went thru the steps of the free membership to redeem the 3 year deal this what 4 bucks a month ... I get 3 years of Disney for the price 1 year of Prime granted Prime offers music shipping etc.  I also know I'm dropping HULU at some point so this deal made more sense than bundling w ESPN which I won't watch or use at all.

I do feel like one those guys that keep signing up for the deals on these services tho.  I had Netflix 2 months free dropped it after the 4th.  Same w WWE.  HULU had a 99 cents a month for a year on a Black Friday deal.

I pay my prime yearly so I just see it as prepaid and getting the best deal for me.  My only concern is 3 years down road forgetting and being auto renewed for a year.  If Disney operates like Prime they won't notify you unless you want them to they just renew it.

Just found out yesterday that we won’t be able to use our Firesticks to use the app. This is a problem.

I signed up for the three year offer because it seemed like a good deal, but I'm hoping Disney has a lot more up its sleeve than Marvel, Star Wars and remakes.  The great thing about Netflix is the wide variety of programming, whereas Disney, as a whole, seems to be focusing on a narrow and somewhat incestuous sliver of main brands.

Any Disney movie I would be inclined to watch is already in my collection.  I don't need a streaming service for an archive.  I watch nothing on Netflix other than their original programming.

There's plenty of original, non-Marvel, Star Wars, and
remakes coming.

Bully for you.  You've bought everything you'd ever want to own from the vast Disney vault.  Most of the rest of us haven't, and I'd posit that most of the rest of the subscribers haven't as well, so I'm kinda glad Disney+ isn't catering to you.

Seriously.  What's the downside?  Why the need to knee-jerk auto deflect to the negative?  I just don't get it.  If you don't want to watch original Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars or Disney content, why the f**k would you subscribe to Disney+ in the first place?  Just to complain that they're not offering more than just original content from the four biggest studios on the planet?  I mean, seriously.  Wow. It almost feels like you're trying to find a sliver of room to complain.

This is what Disney+ offers in its first year. An impressive lineup to start their service.  Link

When Netflix streaming came out they had videos of fireplaces.  It wasn't till they acquired Starz streaming rights they had anything then eventually they went into original content.  The Business Wars podcast covering Netflix is def worth the listen.

Disney sold me just on the Simpsons and Mandolarian show add in the Marvel shows coming and at the price seemed for me its a steal.  I don't think any service ever had this much content to debut.

4 bucks a month I drop that on energy drinks everyday.

I don't think we are in any type of streaming war  that I keep hearing about  you can sign add or drop any service and have multiple services its not like the early days of cable where your city had one provider.  One choice you add on channels thats was it.
