I don't know, but I don't like what I'm seeing. We're through the looking glass here people, we're learning the ugly truth that Days of Future Past didn't spring fully-formed from the minds of JB and Claremont. There's apparently an evolving creative process behind this achievement, the minutiae of which has heretofore been hidden from us - for what evil purpose, I don't know. At least one brave fan has the guts to pull back the veil and show us what we dared not imagine.

So far, I've seen nothing other than a guy milking that he has an old interview and promising a revelation for the simple purpose of .... ego?
This is one of those instances where the British have such good names for people like this. Wanker. Total and utter, wanker
Ferran Delgado blocked me because I contradicted one of his posts with a direct quote from JB the other day.

I think a comment in his last post replies lifts the lid on what this is about, & the reason why he sounds so aggressive.
He’s trying to prove that JB has been wrong in his claims that DOFP was always a two issue story. And...... Well. That’s it.
I think I asked him earlier why he doesn’t just post here t remember whether it really was him I said that to, but I’m pretty sure it was.
So, he appears to have a beef with JB for some reason

Right then, further post that finally, finally, gets to the point (I think).
His big claim is that originally, Phoenix was to die at the end of 135

The guy has also mentioned that he was booted from this forum so that is likely a contributing factor to his desire to "expose the truth" about things. He practically stated that JB was lying about including Kirby on the original cover art to #236 and everything he's posting seems to be trying to support his position that JB & crew have been nothing but dishonest about the genesis of DOFP, Dark Phoenix, etc.
Seems like sour grapes to me.

So, let’s just say JB or Claremont have gotten details wrong about production of certain events or issues. It has been 40+ years after all. Even saying that’s possible, who the fuck cares?!? It’s comic books that were put out 40 years ago. It’s not like fucking Watergate or some deep state Illuminati conspiracy. It’s fucking plots for comic books for Chrissakes. This guy, in the worst of ways, needs to get a fucking life. Jesus Christ.

One question he raised I always did wonder about - why didn't JB and Austin draw Annual #4?

One question he raised I always did wonder about - why didn't JB and Austin draw Annual #4? •• The simplest reason of all: deadlines. I couldn't fit the book into my schedule. (As I have noted before, one of my jobs on UNCANNY seemed to be keeping Chris on track, remembering that this was primarily a book about MUTANTS. The annuals demonstrate what happened when I wasn't there.)

That’s it. •• I'll be the first to admit my memory gets a bit fuzzy, the further things become displaced in time. But, as noted repeatedly (and not until now disputed) "Days of Future Past" was MY story. My (in)famous response to Chris' declaration that "Sentinels are lame." Chris' contribution was the assassination of Senator Kelly being the catalyst for what followed.* _______________ * That, and f**king up my story with the "incestuous lesbian kiss".

DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, THE GN--THE CLIPS
Before I return to the Dark Phoenix Saga, I compiled a few clips from the end of 1979-beginning of 1980 that mention the "special project/album" (aka GN featuring 'Days of Future Past').
Among them I included Byrne discussing the new "album" format (aka GN) in the same interview he described the GN as Days of the Future Past, TCJ #57 (July, 1980).
Just remember that the 'God Love, Man Kills' GN was released at the end of 1982 and it was edited by Louise Simonson.
Chronologic order: -----------Jim Salicrup, editor –X-Men #137. Cover date: Sept, 1980. Released: June 17, 1980. –DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, THE GN. -----------Louise Simonson, editor –X-Men Ann #4. Cover date: Nov, 1980. Released: Aug 5, 1980. –X-Men #139. Cover date: Nov, 1980. Released: Aug 19, 1980. –X-Men #141. Cover date: Jan, 1981. Released: Oct 21, 1980. ----------- –FIRST GN: DEATH OF CAPTAIN MARVEL, Released: Jan, 1982. ----------- –GOD LOVES, MAN KILLS GN. Released: Nov, 1982.
