I was kinda fond of Aunt Beast from Madleine L'Engle's "A Wrinkle in Time."

Of course, Kal-El tops the list, but that's kinda cheating, isn't it?

Since Nessus was already mentioned, I'll mention my second favorite: Izmir, the "bowling ball" from Alan Dean Foster's Glory Lane.

This got me thinking about who else might sneak onto the list.

I thought of Klaatu, from THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL, since he actually had his first bow in FAREWELL TO THE MASTER, a print short story. But the character there was SO different from Michael Rennie's version.
