A few quick things...

Batman is not my favorite character but you can't read superhero comics for over 45 years and not have read lots of Batman comics. I don't remember the first time I saw it but I like when he was referred to as "the Batman." The "the" adds an air of mystery or other worldly-ness. I know Batman is not otherworldly in the true sense but in his "early" days he was certainly trying to scare the criminal class so "the" seemed to imply a lack of understanding his wraith-like appearance.

I remember an early episode of the X-Files where they called Interstate 95, "the 95." I lived on both coasts in my life and I thought that was west coast writers applying "the" to an east coast interstate. In LA it's "the 10" or "the 405" or "the 101." My experience from the east coast is that it is either just "95" or in Florida (were I also lived) it could be referred to as "I-95."

edited for syntax
