Well, after my time off for vacation, I'm back with the weekly new comics list.  In addition to the past 3 weeks, here's what awaits me from this week's offerings:

  • CAPTAIN MARVEL #8 - I'll probaby drop this at the end of the second arc, but I am a few issues behind.
  • SPIDER-MAN LIFE STORY #5 - I've really enjoyed this mini-series; I wouldn't mind if this format was tried on other characters.
  • BACK ISSUE #114 - Always a favorite with me.  This issue features Black Heroes from the 70's, including Luke Cage.

What are you getting?

Welcome back, Phil!

G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #264- After last issues emotional interlude, back to the action!

Daredevil #8- This has been good.

Immortal Hulk #21- The most compelling comic I'm reading right now.

Expensive week for me.

HIT-GIRL SEASON TWO #6 - Love Goran Parlov's art which is the only reason I'm getting this. Will buy anything he draws.

FROM HELL MASTER EDITION #6 - Been fun rereading this as it comes out in its colorized form.

LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN: TEMPEST #6 - Supposedly the last new comics work of both Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill. I hope that's not that case for both.

USAGI YOJIMBO #2 - Very odd seeing Usagi in color.

BATMAN #75 - Decided to stick with this until the end of King's run, though will probably get the upcoming Ellis and Hitch Batman book.

GIANT SIZED X-MEN #1 FACSIMILE EDITION - Could not pass this one up.

IMMORTAL HULK #21 - Marvel's best ongoing comic book, currently outselling Batman (and everything else).

Also picked up New Mutants Epic Collection: The Demon Bear Saga during Amazon's Prime Day sale with a 5 buck discount as I wanted all those Claremont and Sienkiewicz issues in one collected edition. And ordered Rick Veitch's latest comic REDEMPTION last week as it's his first new work in quite some time, only available print to order through Amazon. And from E-bay I grabbed the almost complete MARSHAL LAW collection from Pat Mills and Kevin O'Neill, which came today which is fitting as it's the same day O'Neill's last comics work came out.

I'm still hoping that O'Neill (and Mills) have one last Marshal Law in them.

Anyway (big IDW week for me):

GI JOE A REAL AMERICAN HERO #264
LOEG TEMPEST #6
RAGNAROK BREAKING OF HELHEIM #1 (OF 6)
USAGI YOJIMBO #2
DAREDEVIL #8
SILVER SURFER BLACK #2 (OF 5)
SPIDER-MAN LIFE STORY #5 (OF 6)
VAMPIRELLA #1 - ordered on a whim based on the Priest interview; we'll see

And just for fun, last week's list:
CRIMINAL #6
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #25
AVENGERS #21
SYMBIOTE SPIDER-MAN #4
THOR #15 - wonder if Aaron's replacement will be announced at SDCC
WAR OF REALMS OMEGA #1 WR

UNCANNY X-MEN #22 (really not sure what to think after reading this)

SPIDER-MAN: LIFE STORY #5 (loving it, but if you're a big Iron Man fan you might feel otherwise)

INVADERS #7 (a really intense story going on here)

IMMORTAL HULK #21 (nothing to say that hasn't already been said)

JUSTICE LEAGUE #28 (still enjoying this a lot, and I don't believe at all that a certain character who just "died" is going to stay "dead" for long)

SUPERMAN'S PAL JIMMY OLSEN #1 (haven't read it yet but I expect it'll be funny -- BTW, I really did like LOIS LANE #1)

DAREDEVIL #8 (haven't read it yet either)

How is it, Brian?

I read the last issue, but haven't bought this one yet. It only took me a few pages to get used to the color.

Also, did anyone here pick up the first issue of THE ORVILLE?

My LCS didn't get any copies of The Orville, Wallace. I was curious and wanted to at least give it a look, though I think the only way I'd pick up that comic is if JB did it.
