Amiens: un trou inexpliqué d'une profondeur de cinq mètres est apparu subitement  (In french, sorry. Probably not important enough news for an english langage article. But yet, a sudden unexplained hole appeared in a relatively  important city at the north of our country.)

An unexplained hole? I hope someone is looking into it...

It appeared during the night before this one. No one was hurt and the area was secured.

As far as i know.
In the parisian region i read in another article there was one in 1889 and one in 1961 that made 21 dead people.
In France as whole i don' know, but i didn't often heard of it, at least not in a town.
Of course lot of Paris' underground was used as stone quaries in past centuries, so you never know...

The sinkhole caused the plumbing to stop working around the area, including at the police station. So right now, the gendarmes have nothing to go on.
