I was never a devout fan but there are a handful of her songs that I really enjoy ("Holiday," "Like A Prayer," "Crazy For You.")

Her impact on pop culture is tremendous.  And she's still going strong, which is always great to see.

Is “majesty” misspelled for some Madonna-specific reason of which I am not aware?

Yep, she's known as 'Madge' here in the UK, a nickname that I gather she's none too keen on...!

Madjesty? / Madgesty?

Splitting hairs...

Unless the OP had no idea about 'Madge's' nickname over here and just got creative.

Craig,

I just misspelled it - I knew, of course, that she was called Madge in the UK.  I have just never seen Madgesty/Madjesty spelled out in print before.

Thanks!
Marc

Had a full-on major CRUSH on her in the '80s, when she first hit it big.  I daresay she helped send me straight into puberty...

Today, I find her rather insufferable.  But back then... man, was I obsessed...

Lately the local classic rock/pop station has been playing "Crazy For You", "Get Into The Groove" and "Material Girl" a lot lately, when I've been in the car *. Especially the first two.

The only other songs of hers I've heard on there in the past month? "Lucky Star" and "Like A Prayer".

I'm not a huge Madonna fan. Haven't heard much I've liked by her since the late 90's.

* When I'm not in the car, I mainly listen to a different classic rock station that is only rock, or a station that plays mostly current hits.
