A very small week for me, as SUPERMAN YEAR ONE #2 will be the only one put aside for me.  I was pleasantly surprised by the first issue, and I am looking forward to see where Frank goes with issue 2.

CRIMINAL #7 - My favorite current ongoing comic. Always look forward to reading this. Somehow Brubaker and Phillips manage to keep getting better.

BATMAN #77 - Didn't see any copies of this and was given the crappy variant cover and asked for the regular cover instead. The LCS had their copies all squirreled away because apparently it's "going for 30 dollars on E-bay" and heaven forbid you get a new customer from some stupid hype, but anyway. I'm not going to spoil what happens, but I find this kind of thing that happens in this issue just disgusts me and I'm sick of the speculators ruining what's left of my hobby. Was going to buy this title until Tom King's run ended but this could be it for me. I know it's likely a fake out and the idiot speculators paying 30 bucks for this shit are going to get burned by the greedy comic shops and speculation, but I'll just stick with DETECTIVE COMICS where Thomasi just tells good stories rather than relying on gimmick deaths or gimmick writing. Tom King is no Alan Moore.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY #8 - Still having fun with this for now.

POWERS OF X #3 - Odd that they changed the order these mini-series are coming out and curious why. This run is working for me although I know it's not for a lot of folks.

SAVAGE SWORD OF CONAN #8 - Patrick Zircher art looked nice so picking up this arc and dropping it again when/if I don't like the art.

Had some Amazon credits and used them on a used copy of CAPTAIN AMERICA Epic Collection Vol. 13: Justice is Served. This run covers what is my favorite era of Marvel comics when every writer and artist seemed to be on the book that was perfect for them. The early Gruenwald Cap books all hold a special place for me. Plan on getting the Society of Serpents Epic Collection too which covers the issues prior to this one. One of my favorite eras of Cap outside of Stern and Byrne and DeMatteis and Zeck.

Savage Dragon # 245 - always an enjoyable read for me.

Criminal # 7 - a great series.

Batman # 77 - Like Shane I was going to wait until King's run was finished, but this is just rubbish. Peter Tomasi is the far superior Batman scribe.

Superman Year One #2- I liked #1 so hopefully the trend continues.

Daredevil #10- I've liked this a good bit but I haven't loved it.

Savage Sword of Conan #8- Shane's discussed the over abundance of Conan books from Marvel already and I was considering dropping this but I see Roy Thomas has a story coming up.

I forgot to mention Jane Foster Valkyrie #2. I really liked the first issue even though it breaks my personal rule of supporting characters getting turned into superheroes.

BAD RECEPTION #1: Intriguing first issue about a journalist who writes a book about 'going off the grid' and tries to marry a social media superstar. Then something goes wrong.

JANE FOSTER: VALKYRIE #2: The only mainstream super hero book I read and it's been a fun two issues. Very straight-forward, in a good way.

ANGEL #3 - Continues to be good stuff.

I also read the first SCOOBY APOCALYPSE trade, which is a strange book but I liked it.  Interesting reading a Giffen/Dematteis book, which is so wordy, compared to how sparse most books are these days.  I trust these guys to make the verbosity pay off (and they do.)
