I don't know if this game can sustain itself over time, but I'm going to suggest it anyway...

Put up a short list of characters or titles and then have the forum members try to guess what they have in common. Naturally, in many cases, there will be more than one answer. ("They were all drawn by JB at one point or another!" or "They all appeared in comics put out by Marvel!" will come up a lot, I imagine.) We're theoretically looking for the answer the person posting the question had in mind, but hey, it is game, and fun is the real point here.

I had two lists to begin with. The first is Green Arrow, Space Ghost, Swamp Thing, Black Widow, and Night Nurse. What's the element I'm thinking of that they all have in common?

The other list is Captain America, Green Goblin, Robin, and Earth's Green Lantern. Again, there are probably a number of things they share, and whatever those are, they are most likely valid. This is a guessing game, however. There aren't any "wrong" answers, per se, but the "right" one is the one the person proposing the question was thinking of at the time. Again, all in fun.

No need to guess someone else's answer, btw, before posting your own question. Feel free to jump in with either a question or an answer whenever you like.

Brian, is the second one to do with legacy characters that have had the original take on an alternative mantel?

That is:

Captain America ---> Steve Rogers ---->Nomad, The Captain (while John Walker and Sam Wilson became Captain America)

Green Goblin----> Norman Osborne ----> Iron Patriot (while Harry Osborne became Green Goblin for a while)

Robin---->Dick Grayson----->Nightwing (and then Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Damian Wayne as Robin)

Green Lantern----> Alan Scott----->Sentinel (and Hal Jordan, Jon Stewart, Guy Gardner, Kyle Rayner et al...)

Peter, that is very close to what I was thinking. My take was simpler. All four characters have had four or more people assume the role. I like yours better though. :-)

I think Wooster and Wimsey are both Old Etonians so I'm guessing Hook is as well?
