I no longer remember my old ISP email password (not even sure if they are still in business - I worked for them 23(!) years ago), and have been relying on Gmail only for the past 13 years. If I ever have password issues here, I may be permanently locked out.

I joined the Facebook group a while back (but haven't really participated) mainly because it's nice to see some reactions to JB's work from fresh faces - I will say that the decorum there is much better than the cesspool that other guy's Twitter feed was (not to mention that guy was ragging on JB under the pretense of trying to "help" him). The comments I've seen on the group are very much mostly on the positive side.

I find the BV on FB to be a pretty positive site. Most people’s thoughts are constructive. Time to time you get a troll in the mix, but they get weeded out (same thing happens here).

I echo what Nathan has said.  I gravitate towards both sites for different reasons.  BV is hugely pro JB.  Obviously the draw here is that you can interact with the man himself, which is exceptionally cool.  Social media is a beast that is not going away and makes many individuals famous or infamous for really having no skill.....hence, the phrase, stop making stupid people famous.  If JB were to join any social media platform I think the inter web would explode....

Unfortunately there are a few disgruntled former JBF members there freely throwing the snark around. The guy who runs the page is a good dude though.

I think anonymity is a big thing too.  In FB, there are still many that get away with using pseudonyms and they take advantage of that by trolling whenever possible.  Even so, those that use their real name, still enjoy a certain amount of privacy from others, provided they know how to use FB's tools for that, and there are even third party apps that can assist.

On this site, it should be near impossible to get an email address to work that allows anonymity or multiple accounts, which I think is the point behind the requirements.  To be a member of this site, is to be held accountable for what you write on this site.

I know that when I have made a mis-statement here, it was pointed out and I had to correct or clarify myself.  Otherwise, I would have no credibility here.

But on FB, people just fly in make their comment and ignore all else, sometimes even logic.

All of this is just my take on it, I could be wrong.

Never felt so much love, distress and passion in the scenarios and drawings of the immense John Byrne, in the continuity of the immense Dave Cockrum, on the series of strange x-men. How can we forget the sometimes frightened and serene tornado looks, the "hands" of the protagonists who "seek" without, sometimes, finding themselves, being alone and anguished in dangerous and urgent events, as each of us can be in the immensity of the world, the universe, aesthetic and cinematic beauty, in addition, drawings of the immense John Byrne, epic and cosmetic blush on the ugliness and beauty of the world...
