I sent this link to my buddy Rod, who IS a modeler, and it turns out he’s actually seen the real plane. It resides in Vancouver, BC, just across the water from Saanich, where he lives.

Somewhat off topic, but there is a great documentary about the Spitfire running on Netflix right now.

Wonderful!  Always a joy to see what happens when a modeler gets determined.

If you like this sort of thing, here's a 4 1/2 minute video showcasing retired dentist Young C. Park's 1/16th scale metal Corsair and P-51 Mustang with (if you have tweezers) controls that work!
