I am real tempted to buy it and see what it is. If someone took the time to collect and print all of the books together it would be real interesting. But I doubt that would be the end result.

I wonder if it's a print on demand book? It says the publisher is "Dc Comics," which, if printed on demand through Amazon,  means the real person behind it lied to Amazon and probably the ISBN people. I still don't see how it could have made it through the system if this is the case, as Amazon does review the publications before making them live on the site.

Eric, about the used copy: I self-published a book on Amazon and was surprised to see a "used" copy show up, and the seller was asking about $300 for it! This was especially interesting because I had no record of a sale that I couldn't account for. Up to that point, the only sales I had were from friends and family,  and copies I ordered myself.

My deduction was that some sleazy resellers advertise these books at wild prices without having actually ordered the book, and if someone buys from them, they buy a copy at a lower price than the real person selling it. Otherwise,  I don't see the point.

Matt, there's no ISBN number, I checked for that first. Just an Amazon ID #.

The listing says:

Superman and Batman: Generations 3: An Imaginary Tale - Book three of four: 1979 - 1989 Paperback 1999

If you remove the 3 then it makes more sense and I believe the listing is actually for this:

Ah, that cover. When DC did the trade of GENERATIONS they isolated the central figures as separate image—with the result that Superman reacting to the death of his daughter looked like he was reacting in a negative manner to Bruce Jr’s new bat-suit.

sigh

I wish there actually was a collection of GENERATIONS 3! But if DC does solicit one I won't get excited until I actually see it available for purchase because they keep soliciting and cancelling collections or changing the solicitation in the case of the MAN OF STEEL omnibus that got downgraded to a much smaller hardcover (which I'll still be getting if it actually gets printed).

I wish they would make a 3 trade too but I doubt we will ever see it. I have the originals of course but when you're going back and reading the whole series like I am right now it is so much easier to just dig out the trades.
If Robbie's right and that is what the listing is for man they want a high price for it!
