Really? Florida, Arizona, and Texas are all states in play and they are doing the worst right now (along with California which will vote Democrat regardless if what happens). I would hate to see how bad things would be in these states if tRump was NOT prioritizing them.

Yeah, can you imagine?
According to officials in blue states including California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey and New York, FEMA and other unidentified federal agents have seized supplies intended for their states.
Initial reports were that the supplies were redirected to battleground states, specifically Florida, but Florida officials have also complained, and so have officials in Kentucky and Texas.
So it appears the supplies actually made it into private hands, specifically Jared Kushner's, and the goal is personal grift, not electoral advantage, which is par for the course with the Trump Administration.

He’s going to sign an executive order banning the election because the numbers are too large & mail in voting is too corrupt.
********
While it’s remotely possible this is the route he’ll go, and even more remote chance it would work, it won’t matter. As of Jan 20, 2021, his term as president is over. And without being elected to a second term, he’d be finished. There’s no way around that one. No Executive Order will help him on that one.

The Iranian president says 25 million of his countrymen have been caught COVID-19, and that he expects up to 35 million more to get it. Iran has 80 million people, so he's admitting that practically everyone in the country will be infected.
The coronavirus has certainly changed the course of history. Will it change our future as a species?

Today a colleague noted that Nevada only had around 600 COVID-19 deaths, and I replied the state probably suffered fewer casualties during World War II. I was joking, but I fact-checked, guess what?

Here in Hong Kong, we were kind of OK up to few weeks ago. The first wave was manageable, the second one even better results. It was troublesome but it worked.
Unfortunately, we are now entering in the third one, and it is way more out of control, comparatively speaking.
I am now working alternative shifts office - home office, like the rest of my company.
And we are waiting for results of a potential case in the office. We should have some results in the coming few hours. Some further decisions will be taken by our management at that moment.
Even with all those protective measures... Damn !

It's not going away. Hard decisions really are going to have to be taken.
Economies are screwed - the UK debt is stratospheric and building daily, similarly for other countries. People are failing to get treatment for some long term illnesses - operations were cancelled etc. Non-COVID cases can't get hospital beds because they are full.
One place gets on top of it, reopens and it flares up again.
What are the options: Keep closed, get on top of it, reopen and it comes back. Open up and see numbers go through the roof which has other knock on effects.
What happens come winter if no vaccine? What about the anti vaccers who won't take the vaccine - we are seeing illnesses we thought long gone coming back because level of immunity is dropping.
None of this is good.

The world has to lock down in order to end this virus. Areas without the virus cannot allow travel in or out. People with the virus must stay in their location. We are seeing similar spikes here in Ottawa. It can only be from travel. Good luck coordinating the world population.

I wish we had worn masks since February. I believe that would have stemmed the tide of new cases.

My wife bought a series of N99 masks in February - people laughed at her. We have been wearing them since.
