Steve: Killer piece Nathan, I have never seen that beauty, thanks for sharing.
I am guessing it is quite a bit larger than the regular 11x17 comic art, I was wondering what is it's approximate dimensions?

JB: There's one good thing about DC making me go forward, instead of setting G3 between chapters, as I did with G2. It kept me from doing my "dark" version of Captain Marvel, which I now think would have been a mistake, even in an imaginary story.

Interesting! I thought it would have been an interesting take on the Captain Marvel concept that hadn't been done before.

As one of those rare people who'd rather read great Captain Marvel stories than more Superman stuff, I'm sorry we missed JB's take on the Big Red Cheese.

For those who don’t already know this story, I had envisioned an older adult Billy Batson, in his forties and basically “addicted” to the transformation. Married, with children, he more and more neglected his responsibilities as he fled to the “rejuvenation” of Captain Marvel. Glad, now, that I didn’t do it.

JB,
Everytime I read Generations, my mind goes back to the Crisis On Infinite Earths.
One Earth One Superman/Clark Kent One Batman/Bruce Wayne One Wonder Woman/Diana
And they all began their heroic careers in the Golden-Age.
It was that simple. Nothing convoluted.
Here we are 35 years later after COIE, DC STILL cannot get it right.
The concept of Earth-2, which was introduced in Showcase 4 and supposedly began the Silver Age, hit the racks in 1956. That lasted 30 years.
So DC has been "fixing" the multiverse problem they screwed up longer than it has been around. Which was never broken.
Brilliant!

Technically, Earth 2 was introduced, unnamed, in FLASH 123, “The Flash of Two Worlds”.

JB: I was very happy with the art on G3, but I felt the story was lacking.

I don't know the best way to put this, but G3 is so good, so ambitious and
so thoroughly exciting that I almost can't stand to hear it criticized.
The artwork being among the best of ALL TIME is just one of its strengths.
The delightful new characters, awesome twists on old ones, and the mind
boggling amount of time in the series make it a unique achievement.
To me, there is so much to praise in the series that conversation should be
exhausted just by discussing all the strong points. G3 is such a different
concept than G1 and G2 that it really isn't a 3rd piece of a trilogy -- and
that, in itself, seems to the point where it gets attacked.
Me, I'm highly grateful for every page of this amazing series.
