Mr. Byrne - there was that "Doomsday.1" series. A solar flare isn't quite an epidemic, but it seems kinda close to me.

According to some scientists at Institut Pasteur, if it was man-made, it would be easy to see it. So, no, not from a lab.

JB: "Given the number of times the “Byrne Curse” has seen me drawing/writing something that subsequently proved “prophetic”, I suppose I should be flipping thru back issues looking for some story in which I presented a plague scenario. After all, I’d like to be seen as a modern day Nostradamus, too!
(ie, having made a whole bunch of unrelated guesses which later were seen as “predictions”.)"
---
Nothing springs to mind... but I'll think about it...
I feel it has to be a more specific example than mentioning a "plague" or an "outbreak"... lots of stories have done that.
I'll think about it...

There was that cool West Coast Avengers story where an ancient organism arrived on Earth and invaded every cell available.
These organisms didn't kill their hosts tho, just assimilated them. Love that story!

Did anyone see the White House correspondent Chanel Rion's report that the new virus was created in a North Carolina lab? Her words from her Twitter account: “Both Wuhan scientists collaborated w/Level 3 BSL in N. Carolina on the Gain of Function Experiment using Coronaviruses from bats [...] The Novel Coronavirus so happened to emanate out of Wuhan.”
You can also find an interview titled US Biowarfare Act Author: Studies Confirm Coronavirus Weaponized! with Professor Francis Boyle on YouTube. Even if there's no truth in this, it's really interesting for fiction.

Mason, I see you are once again spreading basless rumors. Why do you need this to be a conspiracy, when it is not?

There was also a Chinese researcher who was escorted out of a Canadian high security lab in Canada, reported by the CBC last July. But the CBC is so ultra woke they were too worried about political correctness to get into details. Some people have picked up on this to say it's possibly related to the virus we have. They're linking it to the CCP trying to destroy Western free markets with this virus. We'll probably never know one way or the other.

I just want to know what everyone thinks about these conspiracy ideas (not theories). Everyone I know is always talking about conspiracy viewpoints on every topic you can imagine. It's all I ever hear. It's interesting but I like to go outside the people I know to see what others think about this stuff. I don't expect people to believe it. The comments above debunking the articles were exactly what I was looking for.
I get into big arguments with people who are convinced there are conspiracies everywhere because I'm so skeptical of it. The subject ticks people off either way. Believing conspiracies or doubting them.

The CBC might be full of shit. Or the conspiracy websites. I didn't personally invent this stuff.

Why do you assume I NEED IT to be a conspiracy? Because I start a thread on the topic? So you can read into my motivation with 100% certainty? Are you the rumor/conspiracy police? No one has to read this thread if the topic doesn't interest them. But everyone else did have interesting criticisms on the topic rather than criticisms of my motives.
