Joltin' Joe has left and gone away. :( I'm going to read FF#5 tonight in his honor.

Sorry to hear of this news. What a master. I was lucky enough to get a sketch from him, what a nice guy. Sad news, rest easy Joltin Joe Sinnott.

I can't think of a better "two great tastes that taste great together" moment than when his inks met Kirby's pencils. FF was already so great and then, somehow, it was even better.

There are many who think FANTASTIC FOUR officially became GREAT with Joe’s arrival. I can’t say I entirely disagree.

It could have been coincidental, but it was around the time Joe Sinnott came on board as the regular inker that the series entered probably its greatest period, what with the introductions of The Inhumans, Galactus and the Silver Surfer, "This Man, This Monster," and so on.

Yes, imagine those stories inked by George Bell or Vinnie Colletta!

I kind of liked Chic Stone too though. Well... he did really good backgrounds. I thought of Sid Greene as being DC's Joe Sinnott. Definitely a real bonus finding either of them as the inker on a comic... and the Sinnott visit to Hidden Years was priceless!

It certainly became greater. To me Lee/Kirby/Sinnott is Marvel's creative pinnacle.
