Reading about this and watching the video over the weekend made me angry. Talk about the opposite of de-escalating a situation. "Ride the lighting, son". Seriously. This could have ended so much worse. Nothing but praise for Caron Nazario, an Army second lieutenant, who handled an impossible situation to the best of his limited abilities at the time. Fuck me.

Enjoyed the two People vs the Klan shows on CNN last night, very informative, stitching together the continual obstructing of investigators over various incidents in the U.S. up to how it's all still there and how some murders are treated so much differently than others (even those four little girl in that 1963 church bombing which took decades to finally make some of those involved pay). Mostly it focused on the murder of Michael Donald in 1981 and how his mother was inspired by the mother of Emmet Till. I think the point made that the police and the justice system were created specifically to suit and protect white people is a perfect bullseye.
The success rate at prosecuting anyone for the murder of a visible minority is atrocious and should make everyone absolutely outraged and determined to clean out the people in positions they should not have (not vote them into any office to tolerate or bring even more such bad actors in), expose the obstruction or the plausible counter narrative writers (for 19 year old Donald they decided a drug deal gone bad would fit any black young man, but everyone who knew him knew there was zero truth to that). And then 'they' (same types of racist bullies) try to frame the whole January 6th debacle on Black Lives Matter protesters... just sickening.
'Joe Zhang' is the only poster here I have on ignore, and I think the only one I ever have used that for.
