Welcome to another week for new comic releases.  It's almost the end of October.  Wow.  Here's what is in my file this week:

  • Batman #11
  • Batman/Catwoman #8
  • Catwoman #36 - For my son, 
  • Back Issue #131 - Featuring Jack Kirby at DC in the 1970s.  I'm looking forward to this issue.
  • Fight Girls #4 - Frank Cho!  While I really would like him to revive Liberty Meadows, this has been a good limited series.  I highly recommend it.
  • I managed to get the first 2 issues of Gun Honey.  It's a pretty good series, reminisicent somewhat of Modesty Blaise.

CATWOMAN LONELY CITY #1: Not my usual thing but I love Cliff Chiang's art and am curious to see him take on the writing too.

NITA HAWES NIGHTMARE BLOG #1: Spin-off from Killadelphia, which remains one of my favorite books on the market.

DC: Batman Vs. Bigby #2; Green Lantern #7.
Expect delays: The Heroes Aren't Hard To Find Newsletter announces:

(1) "Our order of DC Titles for this week are running behind for delivery. We hope to have this week's DC books on the shelf and in your reserve bags by Friday, October 22!"

(2) "As Marvel transitions to a new distributor, we appreciate your patience as we deal with the potentially higher number of damaged Marvel titles.
It is unknown if the publisher will replace or reprint damaged books at this time. If you are unhappy with the condition of the titles on your pull, we will not hold you responsible for the purchase of those titles.
Many shops are experiencing similar difficulties from this transition, and we hope that this is merely a temporary complication as the new distributor finds their footing."

I did get the new Brubaker/Phillips. DESTROY ALL MONSTERS. These dudes
are the best creative team in comics right now.

Apparently there is a crowd-funded comic available on Indiegogo called The R.I.G.H.T. Project.

By Tom Defalco, Ron Frenz and Sal Buscema!!!!

Still has 2 weeks to go.
I am more than happy to support these gentlemen because I love the work they produce.
