Beautifully rendered and evocative page today. Those footprints dwindling off into nothingness...

Have to say, I really liked the train car-- there's some nice detail work there.

I'll join the chorus. These pages are beautiful. Cinematic and grand. My mind fills in the time between panels.

Do you, JB, self-rate this as some of your best work to date? If not, what is your own personal high-water mark?

I like to think ALL my work was, in its time, the “best to date.”

Well, maybe not “all”. There have been some slumps—tho the fans and I are not always in agreement as to what they were!

A couple of personal pinnacles, OMAC and ANGEL-BLOOD AND TRENCHES.   In fact, I rate all the ANGEL work quite highly.

I loved that OMAC 4 issue story.  At the time I was not a fan of B&W comics but dang if you didn't make it work and get me more willing to try an assortment of indy's that were B&W too (lots of great stuff out then).  Loved that you found a way to make the Kirby storyline and a new one work together (not an easy feat).

Dang if that last panel today doesn't make me want to see tomorrow come quicker.  So glad it isn't a month until we see more.

Great page and can't wait to see the next page if it's what I think it is.

I agree with JB that OMAC is one of his pinnacles. It's a crime against comicdom that there is no Absolute edition from DC or an Artist's edition from IDW to celebrate its greatness.

Angel as a character is nothing I cared about -- but JB's comicbook is pretty freakin' stellar.
