I'm pretty sure Sasquatch could beat original silver-and-blue Box one-on-one. (Edited to correct which version was the "original.")

It'd be a good fight though. Box is no pushover.

I'm working here, of course, strictly from Box as I created him. I know almost nothing of what has been done to the character since I left.*_____________________ * I know Bill gave him legs and, I think, slimmed him down. Part of what seemed an ongoing campaign to remove whatever might be off-beat or quirky about the characters.

What happened to Roger afterward was a travesty. It was part of my headcanon that Roger might have helped Mac develop the Guardian suit, as his skills lay in that direction, and Mac might have returned the favor in helping Roger build the first Box robot.
The second Box (silver-and-blue) which Walter temporarily inhabited seemed stronger--as well as allowing Roger to fuse with the metal--but the final iteration was just a suit of armor that Madison Jeffries wore for a time. Further diminishing the character(s).

Dang, I got it backward. Silver-and-blue was the original, silver-and-red was the one Walter occupied.

For what it's worth, the issue that Bochs went insane was the last issue that I bought. It was the last straw for me.

I read as far as Puck's "origin", and then departed. Just not my characters any more.(It struck me as revealing that, since I had mentioned Puck was 50 years old, when they showed him in his "normal" form he was an OLD MAN!!)

I hated what Mantlo did with Puck,Roger, and the Box robot after JB left the book. I know that JB really doesn't care about Alpha Flight, but I would really like to see him do an Alpha Flight Elsewhen comic to show where he would go with these characters if he didn't leave the book.

I was sort of “driven” off X-MEN by what I considered Chris’ excesses, which makes ELSEWHEN very cathartic. But I left ALPHA FLIGHT of my own free will. The concept of an ELSEWHEN version, except in a very narrow sense, holds no real appeal for me.
