I'm with you on the cape. The pinstripes on the boots and gloves is a cool individual touch that the Black Panther has.

Probably because of FF241, I lean toward the grey myself (but like you I'm OK with blue).

The Panther's is definitely one of the best costumes. And, somehow, I have not so much as once seen or heard anyone demanding he be called the BLUE Panther.

Happily, unlike the Beast, writers didn't start referring to what the readers were seeing rather than the "reality" they were dealing with.

(Perhaps the strangest example of that was when the Silver Surfer was wandering around "disguised" in a trench coat and fedora, and Stan actually had someone refer to his "white" face!)

I love so many costumes, but I guess my all-time favorites
are my first favorites: Classic Flash and Green Lantern as
well as Gil Kane's Captain Marvel and Ditko's Blue Beetle.
John Byrne's Guardian rounds out my hand full.

Side note. I always preferred the original Captain
Marvel's costume to Superman's.

I like Captain Marvel's uniform better than Superman's costume, too.

Here we must agree you're both wrong. That all red suit looked like thermal underwear to my eyes.

And now you've reminded me of Super Goof.

I dig the way both JB and Alex Ross include those "cape ties" when drawing Captain Marvel. (I first noticed them in the Legends miniseries.) Cap's cape's short length and that button flap across his chest are also neat. I even like the way Ross interpreted the sash around Marvel's waist.
