I inherited my Lordship from my father. Still don't know how that works!

I'm sure Rudy's fellow inmates will be impressed with his honorary knighthood-- if it's not withdrawn by then-- when he serves time in federal prison. So far, it's not looking good for his chances of avoiding jail time.

Byrnewell Predicts: No jail time for Rudy. Or Trumpelstiltskin. Or his brats.

Unfortunately I agree with you. I think there still might be charges brought against some in the great orange orbit, but will likely be pled out and, like you said, no actual jail time.

The only way Trump can fall is by his own hand--and we have already seen how far he can push things without getting in trouble. Most of his supporters, in fact, seem to cheer his excesses--part of his ultimate con job of convincing middle America he is "one of them", out fighting the good fight on their behalf.

He's also managed to find people who will support specific elements of his invented personae, ignoring the rest. Like someone being fed a shit sandwich and saying "Yes, but the bread was good."

I suspect that Trump has pocket pardons for most of those involved and is betting that he can negotiate himself out of prison by renouncing any future runs for office and not releasing the pocket pardon he has for anyone that participated in January 6th (or, perhaps, EVERY federal prisoner). The real threat to their freedom lies in State prosecution. New York, in particular.

New York and Georgia, really- NY wants to bring down his company (and might do it), while Georgia wants Trump for election interference.

He has a long track record of escaping real consequences, but it seems like the two in charge of these investigations aren't interested in backing down or playing the game. He's rarely been in the kind of legal trouble he's facing now.

Will he go to prison? No idea, but the odds are quite a bit higher that Rudy or one of the Trump kids will do time. Biden isn't going to pardon any of these dirtbags.

Biden doesn't need to, Trump had the ability to write those pardons as President and simply hold on to them until the time of his choosing. He just has to be careful about when he would issue them as once anyone accepts a pardon, they lose the ability to plead the 5th around those crimes.
