Well, Jon, I don't see my dislike of a writer or artist's work as a call for his or her dismissal. I can always wait for the new creative team to come along; after all, it will happen at some point. That just means I'm not spending some money for a little while, and that makes everyone at stately Mou Manor pretty happy.

Stucker's inks look much better and more faithful than Nelson's.  An inker should really try to be faithful to the pencils. I think that it is interesting that we got a chance to compare the two in the same issue, that combined with the pencil scans, to me, do in Nelson.  If I don't think an artist isn't doing a good job, I can hope he gets replaced.  Also, not buying the book is the ultimate way of changing the creative team.

After some thought, I'm going to change my answer:

The book is selling well.  Don't change anything.

I like Nelson´s inks on Byrne, it add "textures" to Byrne's pencils, although I must condemn the redraws.

Yes, I was shocked to read about the redraws. I recall DC doing this to Jack Kirby during his 1970s run there.

I would consider redrawing their work the ultimate insult to an artist. What in the world does an editor say to justify this act?

Didn't like him from the beginning. I thought he was getting better -
but then it got bad again. I don't want anyone to lose their job, but
I'd like to see a different inker on Action.

I have seen a lot of inks and I have seen redrawn inks, like Jerry Ordway inking John Byrne. Of course this is then a work by both of the artists or it looks like 50-50 to us. But do we want a half of Nelson and a half of Byrne when we purchase Action Comics? That is what it is to me. Perhaps some fans are going to rip the pages off this site and color them, and insert baloons and make a fan verison, the way it should have looked not redrawn, like they did with the movie Superman II, it wouldn't suprise me.

I simply voted no 'cause I don't know the whole story and I don't blame when all hasn't been said, + we haven't heard a word from Nelson (have we ?)
Anyway, as a simple reader, you know like the kid I was once, without Internet, spoilers, when comics used to be just fun and entertaining, I think the art is really nice.

Maybe Nelson has forgotten that he's just a tracer.

The redrawing aside, from the get-go I thought that Nelson's inls just
sucked all the life and energy out of JB's pencils. He's clearly a talented
artist, but he's all wrong to be paired with JB.
