I can honestly understand hating a comics pro; don't get me started on Rob
Liefeld. But spreading garbage like that is just senseless.

If you think someone's work sucks, you're entitled to your opinion. If you
think he's a jerk, you can also have that opinion. But making up a line about
him being a sex offender and putting in on what is ostensibly a reference
source is simply beyond the pale.

Truly? You "hate" Rob Liefeld? What sort of emotion do you summon up, I wonder, for someone who has actually commited a crime, or actually harmed or wronged you in some real manner? "Hate" is a word that has lost much coinage, and largely due to foolish usages like this.

What he said, "hate" is a strong word, but yet again, so is "love".

There are very few people that I have ever hated, and none of them I've
ever made stuff up about, if I was going to spread crap about them, it was
going to be true (though one of them gave me plenty of stuff).

Note: All people I have ever hated I have known personally.

I find it difficult to believe that any rational person can, in the course of a normal life, truly summon up the energy to HATE another human being. The limitations of the English language cast that word as our ultimate trump card, and as such it should be played with care -- indeed, along with words like "love", "great", "hero" and others touched upon in this forum on other occasions.

No, I hated him, but only by principal, well, beyond being an annoying,
self righteous twit who seemed to feel the need to put everybody into a
box and convince various gay people to not be gay by trying to convince
them that they wanted to pass on their genes, while preaching the
evils of dental care, and his endless rambling about his girlfriend, who I
may add until recently everyone was convinced didn't exist, while I was
trying to do a test, the fact that he sexually harrassed various members of
my biology class (which I may add, I got removed from school for several
months for, and I had a bad medicine reaction, so at least I have an
excuse) and then literally go sent into timeout (remember that he's a
Freshman in High School), and the fact that after his grandmother died he
wouldn't stop "expressing himself" by singing during class (not to at all
take the at light the fact that his grandmother died, but still, I was trying
to do my work), I will stop now, his hypocrisies, accusing someone of
both not taking life seriously enough (the only example he had was that
he listens to rap music, which he doesn't) and not enjoying the simple
things in life, I could go on for hours, but I won't, he's basically (if not
literally) the only person I've ever "hated".

Many have doubted the ability to hate to me before, many who know him
have said I was mean for hating him, then they tried to have a
conversation with him.

I realize how off topic that rant was, what I was trying to say is, that it is
quite possible to hate someone.

THis is up now:

"John Byrne currently resides with his "life partner" Matt Reed, and their live-in housekeeper James C. Taylor."

Novels
  • John L. Byrne's Fear Book (1988; ISBN 0446348147)
  • Whipping Boy (1992; ISBN 0440211719)
  • Wonder Woman: Gods And Goddesses (1997, ISBN 0761504834)
  • " Joe Zhang: You are the sunshine of my life" (forthcoming novel 2006)
  • " Joe Zhang: Message board postings from the heart - a collection of posts and essays by my number one fanboy" (forthcoming spoken word album 2006)
---
This is just so f'ing ridiculous, and it is just what happened at the LA Times when they tried to set up a wiki editorial
