This magazine is distributed to customers of our rural electrical co-op. I've met Don Rosa on a few occasions, and he's quite the gentleman. He did a signing at the Great Escape in Louisville around the time "The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck" was beginning, and we've been waiting for the same planes on our way to and from Mid-Ohio Con on a few occasions.

This article is pretty nice.

His work really is good. I enjoy it when they put it in Uncle Scrooge.

"The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck" is one of my favorite comic book stories, funny animal or otherwise.

I'v heard of it, but not read it. I'm more or less new to the Ducks in comic form.

How often does his work appear nowadays? Are the Ducks published
regularly in the US?

The Life and Times of $crooge McDuck is available in trade
paperback as of this summer. It was the only thing I bought at
Comic-Con this year, and I recommend it to pretyy much anybody
that likes comic books.

This is how I was getting them but the $6.95 proved too much.  It had a mix of old and new material.

The Ducks are published regularly by Gemstone, but there was quite an absence. I have all the Gladstone albums, plus several of the Gladstone comics, including everything Don Rosa did for them. (I came to the Ducks quite late, to be honest. I read some of the Gold Key comics as a kid, but at the time, I saw them as secondary to the likes of Superman, Batman, and the Fantastic Four.) Now, one of the prized items in my collection is a huge reprint collection of Carl Barks' Uncle Scrooge material with a foreword by George Lucas.

I had the privilege of being Don Rosa's guide on his (sadly quite short) trip to Rio de Janeiro. Bot he and his wife are extremely nice people. I hope I can meet him again one of these days.

His "Life and Times" series is one of the world's very best comic stories. Everyone should read it!

I went to the Gemstone website today and noticed they've got a couple of very nice Disney Xmas specials for sale--one has a Walt Kelly cover.
