JB all you have to do is make one phone call and it would make a lot of us MOC attendees really happy.

At first quick glance the name Billy Dallas Patton was Dolly Parton to me.  Yeah, I'd make the 6+ hour drive to see her...

looking pretty good so far.

I'm especially happy about Austin, Englehart and Rogers all being there as well as Roger Stern (hopefully).

It's a good line-up. Unfortunately, as must happen when you've been convention hopping for about 20 years, not a single comics guest that I haven't already met.

The only thing about Austin, Rogers, and Englehart being at MOC is that I just saw all three at the Motorcity Con a few months back. Plus DeFalco was at Pittsburgh's Comicon a few months ago as well. No big names to get me to stay at the show more than a few hours to search for back issues. It just won't be the same without JB.

Recent addition: Mark Texiera

Takes me back to early 90s Ghost Rider...remember when that
title was mega-popular? He also was responsible for a very
underrated series from Image called "Union". I think Union
would've been popular but it got over-looked because it did not
come out during the initial BOOM period at Image.

I don't think that had anything to do with it.

I've never been to the MOC, despite me being only 2 hours or so away. Looks like quite the lineup this year, though it bothers me that MOC seems to be the home for comics creators who aren't getting much work. Then again, that's a pretty large percentage.

Bob: "Brian, ring the bell."
JB: "Whozzat?"
Brian: "MOC Reunion!!"
JB: "I suggest you leave immediately"
Brian (in his best Homer voice): "Or what? You'll release the dogs or the bees? Or the dogs with bees in their mouths and when they bark they shoot bees at you?" ::gigggle::
...pause...
Bob: "Do you hear barking?  AND buzzing?"
Brian: "RUN!!!!"

...not a good idea...

No Sergio Aragones, John Byrne or Denny O'Neil...so I guess I don't make the show this year.

*sigh*

Hey, It's not like we would show up unannounced Bob. We could call at least fifteen or twenty minutes ahead. And think of the "Uatu And Me" that would result from the hijinks.

I'll just hide in the trunk and wait until JB is busy disposing of all your grisled corpses, then I'll sneak in and try out THE CHAIR!!!

Of course, I too won't make it through the experience alive, but hey...who wants to live forever, right?

Roger- Sit in JB's drawing chair that's fine but, whatever you do don't pick up his pencil. According to old Connecticut folk lore his it his pencil is powered by... fanboy's souls!!!

Did you ever wonder what has happened to Byrne Board members that seemed to drop off the face of the Earth? Well, wonder no longer, JB used them on the cityscapes for Blood of the Demon!

Terry Austin
Steve Englehart

These two guys are the only ones on the list that I've managed not to see at some point. I'd really like to get a chance to meet Mr. Englehart.

Scott Beaderstadt is listed as a guest...his name sounds very familiar to me but I can't find anything about him on comics.org and I'm getting nothing searching him on Google.  What's he done that I might be familiar with?

Isn't he the Troll Lords (indy book from the 80's) guy? He's also a buddy and art dealer (I think) for Alex Ross.

A little googling confirms he is the Troll Lords guy. In fact, Caliber Comics is bringing it back:

http://www.calibercomics.com/TITLES/trolllords.htm

It was one of the better books to come out of the black and white boom in the 80's. He is Alex Ross' buddy too. He usually brings Ross artwork to sell at MOC. He's been a model for Ross more than a few times too, IIRC.
