I thought it was only Germany that had the Hasselhoff love!

A friend of mine, living in Sydney, sent me this over the weekend. He says this ad is all over buses and bus stops. HILARIOUS!

Wow. I think I'm going to print that out and hang it up over my desk at work.

I'm toying with it becoming my new wallpaper, if only for a week until the hilarity of the Hoff hawking Pepsi in Australia wears off.

Watch out David! You are being stalked by a huge subterranean pepsi bottle!

Whew! That was close. He managed to sing himself to safety.

David Hasselhoff and his German team of worshippers was the only part of Dodge Ball: the Movie that I thought was funny.

Come on Matt, doesn't that make you want to chug an ice cold Pepsi?

It sure does make me want to.....of course it's gonna be laced with bourbon.

Melissa, can you explain this cultural curiosity?

What's really strange about Hasselhoff is that someone looked at him and his work and decided he'd make a good Nick Fury.

Maybe it's just us that don't get it. I mean, Hasselhoff taking a whiz on a giant Pepsi bottle is just probably too deep for us illiterate North Americans.

He's not taking a whiz on it. That's not Hasselhoff piddle on the giganto-cap. Those are moist glistening beads of condensation indicating how cool the pepsi is andsuggesting that it's probably just come out of a giant ice chest. They were first discovered on the sides of Dr Pepper can ads in the 70's. Ever since they have marched onward infecting other soda and beer adds...like..like..triffids!

What I find truly amazin' about this important "work" is that the stark white background suggests that David is either being subtley controlled (stylisticly) by tech guru Steve Jobs or he is dressed as a modern Elvis performing on the archetypal stage of absolute minimalism. Either way it's deep stuff.
