I've always wondered a few things about this shocking and appalling moment (shocking and appalling in a good way...I’m a big Hulk fan) in Hulk history so I thought I'd ask:

1. Since Doc was able to knockout the Hulk when he wasn't expecting it, and since he apparently could never achieve the same feat otherwise, does this constitute some sort of "power" the Hulk has regarding his toughness and ability to take punishment, or is this simply a case of superhuman monsters being subject to superhuman sucker-punches in the same way that normal humans are to normal sucker-punches?

2. Could Doc have KOed your Superman in the same manner if given the opportunity?

that's interesting....I guess I'll just take the opportunity to ask JB if any of these could KO Superman, in your opinion:

1. Sub Mariner (esp underwater)
2. Sasquatch
3. Wonder Man
4. Hercules
5. Gladiator (Imperial Guard)

I'm not aware of there ever having been a Superman/Silver Surfer crossover anytime...if there has been, I'd sure be int to know...
I think that the Surfer could prob give Supes his greatest battle...

"...peace to you, friend...here for festival?"

Gladiator might have a shot ... the others, no.

It's probably possible to knock out yourself.

Years ago there was a Superman/Silver Surfer prestige-format crossover written by George Perez and drawn by Ron Lim (too bad it wasn't Perez on art as well).
It was a forgettable book...

According to Marvel's strength chart class 100 (tons) is the highest, I think Superman Would be in the 1000's. There is a massive difference between the leading powerhouses of Marvel and DC.

In respect of Doc Samson, i always though his sucker punch was a joke, are to telling me he can hit harder than the Abomination who is stronger than a calm Hulk?

"Always"? You mean, since before the book was even published? Since before I wrote it? Before I drew it? Before you'd ever even heard of the Hulk?

In any case, it's not about how hard Samson struck, tho that is certainly a factor. Most important, tho, is that he caught the Hulk completely off-guard. Who had ever done that before?

GLADIATOR always kinda...scared me...

that merciless looking face...with respect to the villains, obviously if
ABSORBING MAN could come by a piece of Kryptonite, it's bye-bye
otherwise, would be interesting to see a
SUPERMAN vs JUGGERNAUT all-out slugfest, but, Jugs is...kinda dumb,so

Knowing the way John answers such posts, I'm sure that did not escape his notice.
