I can't edit the first post in this thread since Matt changed the thread title (thanks for that, Matt!), but perhaps we should edit it to include the full story of how this all started.
It all began when, in another thread regarding the Galactus story written by John Byrne (the Last Galactus Story?) where it is revealed that everyone sees Galactus differently, John Mietus remarked that he sees Galactus as having a candy coated shell. John Byrne responded by creating the Galactus M&M that John Mietus is currently using:
John Mietus wrote:
I accept full responsibility for this silliness, though I do list JB as an accomplice -- after all, he was the one who wrote the Galactus story that said everyone sees Galactus differently... and then provided the visual after I said I saw him as having a candy coated shell. |

I liked the Galactus M&M avatar, and I like green M&Ms, so I decided to have a little fun creating a Green Lantern M&M for myself to replace my previous Neal Adams Green Lantern avatar. Shortly after I started using my Green Lantern M&M avatar, Roger Ott dropped me an e-mail asking me if I would be interesting in drumming up a Shellhead (Iron Man) M&M avatar for him. I did, and once Roger started using his, Trevor Krysak put out a request for a Hawkeye M&M avatar, and Hugh Cherry created on for him, along with Chris Hutton's Batman M&M avatar ("I'm the goddaM&Mn Batman!") and the Composite SuperM&Man avatar currently being used by Brad Brickley. All of that occurred outside of this thread, and I wanted to throw out some props to Hugh for his mad M&M avatar skills, so I started THIS thread to prevent other threads from being further highjacked.
At any rate, all of this came about due to an off-the-cuff remark made by John Mietus, so we really have him and JB to thank for all this candy-coated goodness. My original Green Lantern M&M avatar was the second M&M avatar to see the light of day here, followed by the Shellhead avatar that I did for Roger Ott. Hugh jumped on board, lending his superior artistic skills to the game, I started this thread to praise Hugh and to create a "gallery" of sorts to display the budding superhero M&M avatars, and much candy-coated goodness has ensued.
GREAT fun -- thanks to all you M&Michelangelos out there who have jumped on the M&M avatar bandwagon!
:-)

OK First off......John Bodin. PLEASE check your
previous post, especially where you quoted John
Meitus. There's something throwning off the code
and really messing up the way my browser is
reading this thread now.
I can guarantee if you recheck the format of that
quote there is something off.
And now some requests:
Don Deigo Vega aka Zorro!

The lovely Harley Quinn:

To go with his previously created Partner the GD
BatM&M:

Whoever knows fear MELTS at the touch of
M&M-Thing!

And finally Deathstroke the TerM&Mator:

Enjoy!

Again, MORE great work, Hugh! Couldn't figure how anybody would attack a Harley Quinn M&M, but you nailed it!
:-)
Not sure what's going on with the formatting -- I've checked this thread with both Firefox and IE, and it looks fine on my end.

There's something off in the way you formatted the
quote. Either one of these ( [ ] ) is in the wrong
place, or you forgot to put one in somewhere. I'd bet
money on it.

Maybe I'm a bit of a dork, but Gerry's Flash M&M had me laughing out loud. This is outstanding.

Hugh -- I just edited my post and re-applied all of the quote brackets ( [ ] ). Everything looked fine to begin with (nothing was missing or mis-formatted), but you might try refreshing your browser to see if that helps.
