That was his point. Seeing pieces like this remind him of better times for those characters.

touched for the very first time. sigh. it makes me so sad that we cannot understand the mind of john byrne but i guess that is why he is the great genius of art he is and we are just the people who can never be him even though we want to be so badly. if i could be john byrbe i would but that is like asking to become of the great people of the world.
