Andy, supposedly, C-3PO comes from the location of the post office on a map Lucas had. It was in grid C3. R2 gets his name from the reference to the dialogue track two on reel two being designated R2D2. ( Reel Two, Dialogue track Two)

And I would never have guessed Paty was pronounced that way.

Cool info on the genesis of Rog-2000.

That is very sad about Duffy.  Thanks for info JB.  I do not remember seeing anything about his passing.
