Why would Kurt's teleportation not make noise? He's displacing a reasonable quantity of air in the process.
And Kitty could simply phase Bats into the ground and leave him there. She'd totally ruin his day.

At the other end, he would create a wind effect, as air was pushed out of the space he was about to occupy. There would be nothing to make the BAMF.

Wow. Can't believe this thread is still alive.
John didn't you mention something about another Batman/Wolverine piece that you were holding off on to allow the paint to dry on this one? What ever became of that one?

"Surprise" may not be the right word, but, assuming Nightcrawler's teleportation is instantaneous, I think it's reasonable to say that he could get the drop on Batman.
He'd have to be quick, though. Any hesitation and Batman would drop him like a sack of schnitzel.

Aric, I only just realized that this thread had some activity again. I figured I'd give my side of an update, since JB hasn't. I was giving thought to getting the next Batman/Wolverine piece myself, but now that I have received this actual piece last week, I think I am quite content with it now.
I will try to take a pic of it once it gets framed. I will say this though, the inks are stronger on the real thing than in the scan. You can't really tell the ink strokes as you could in the scan, for which I'm even more pleased. I guess JB's scanner was just a bit too sensitive!
I can't keep someone else from having something similar, but I like the uniqueness factor in my own possession, so having another kind of takes away a bit from that.
However, I would like to see a battle scene of course, so I very much hope that whoever goes for it is willing to have a scan of it posted!

Couldn't Colossus beat Batman? Or Jean Grey and Xavier?

Can't wait to see your piece framed Vinny. I know what you mean about the uniqueness factor.
By the way, while your Batman might have beaten Wolverine in this commission, my Thor would pulverize your Batman :)

Depends. If you were fighting the X-Men, wouldn't you be expecting him to pop in? And if you were Batman, wouldn't that be all the edge you'd need?

I just thought of something else that would -- non-intuitively -- give Batman an advantage: Wolverine's "healing factor". Knowing Logan has this, Batman would also know he could let loose, not hold back. He could practically kill Wolverine, in order to take him down.

That would be a very interesting moment.
I'd love to see you pull that off!
