Wolverine has one fatal weakness: push him far enough, and he loses it. In a fight with Batman, that would be all she wrote.

++++

This is what Claremont and Miller "changed" in the ending of the Wolverine mini-series.

Awesome.  I really like the way that the cuts are drawn.  It looks like real blood would.

Batman is cooler than Wolverine, no question.  However, I'm not sure how he KO's him, at least for the count.  Plus, the latter has unbreakable bones.

Wolverine has unbreakable bones, but he doesn't have unbreakable muscles or nerves. A punch to the jaw would have the same effect on him as anybody else.

True, but won't his healing power do something about that at some point?

Plus hitting an adamantium jaw would be like hitting a steel flag pole...I would think that impact would shatter the bones in Batman's hand...

I am sure however he (Batman) would "get" that Wolverines bones were not normal after punching him the first time and adjust his stategy immediately...

I think the Batman villain that comes closest to Wolverine at his most "deadly" is Ra's Al Ghul immediately upon emerging from the Lazarus pit. The centuries of martial arts experience, the berserker rage, the quick healing etc. If Batman can handle Ra's in that state, (which he has, and I'm sure he's planned ahead for future encounters) then I'm sure he's prepared to handle Wolverine.

A healing factor won't stop Wolverine from being knocked out. He'll just wake up sooner. Which means he can be restrained. An adamantium skeleton may be a plus if you're going up against the Hulk, but even an ordinary bone skull can break a man's fist in a brawl. Martial artists usually go after soft tissue - muscles, nerve clusters and internal organs.

Wolverine may have super senses, but if Batman knows about them, they're a liability. It means Wolverine is MORE vulnerable than most to strong lights, sounds, smells and tastes.

A fight between them may not be cut and dried, but I wouldn't sell Batman short.

This image, if it showed up on a comic book, would be the 'new' X-MEN 141
or X-MEN 133--an instant classic, iconic cover.

It's simple, unexpected, and shocking.

Very nice piece!

Certainly didn't mean to do that and I think your explanation makes sense.

Wouldn't gas or poison knock Wolverine out anyways?  He can get knocked out by gas, just recover faster?  Right?  Who knows these days?
