I think any gas Wolverine would recover from very quickly. Poison too. *** It saddens me to see what a caricature Wolverine has become. In my days on UNCANNY his "healing factor" meant he could recover from just about any non-lethal injury --- eventually. It didn't mean you could rip his heart out and he would instantly grow a new one. The healing factor was what made the implantation of the adamantium bones possible, it didn't make him indestructable.

I think Batman would find a way to beat Wolverine as well, but I keep coming back in my mind to Wolverine getting punched into orbit in JB's first issue of X-Men and surviving.

Very amazing piece JB. It would sit very nicely next to my dream
commission -- a piece I've described before but please indulge me:
Batman and Wolverine (back to back?) fighting Sabretooth and the Joker.
Bruce would be in combat with Sabretooth and Logan would appear about to
disembowel the Joker.
I'd consider paying for this myself but hey, I just bought a condo. If
annyone else wants to commission it, feel free!!

Congratulations, Vinnie -- this is an awesome piece. Well done, JB -- once
again, your instincts as storyteller says everything that needs to be said
about the fight. I love this piece.

"Many of the commissions I've seen to date could be typed as "covers", "pinups" or "middle-action" commissions.
This one is a "conclusion" ... and it screams for a 22-page treatment!" --------------
Yep - that's what I really love about it - via Jim Warden, JB asked if I was cool with what he had in mind, and I basically said "go for it". Even though it's a "pose" piece, you know there must have been a kick-ass story getting to this point!

Fantastic drawing and a logical decision on the outsome. Brains/tactics overcome brawn/rage.
We really need a Batman book from JB. Of all the characters appearing in these commissions, Batman is the one that stands out as having an interpretation we haven't yet seen in a monthly from JB. There are stories inside these drawings that, alas, are remaining untold.

So, now I can ask, have you drawn them together

Not that I remember."

Well, then, that makes this even _more_ special to me!!

I guess I was seeing the picture "wrong" somehow. I see Batman standing offense over a injured Wolverine. Facing possibly Mongul or Gladiator of the Imperial Guard.

Love your Batman, JB. You can tell you like the character.
I'd love something like this.
Replace Wolverine with Superman and that'd be an ideal piece for me.
(I know that won't sit well with some)
