Great idea for a commission. Kudos to the requester and double kudos to the Chief for its execution.

The Ant-Man is priceless. Excellent idea for Ant-Man to fly this way. Was it the commissioner's or your idea, John?

The rest of it is superb, of course, as well. Makes me wish JB was back in Marvel.

The Avengers.  My favorite team, and the reason Ioved Marvel.  Thank you... thank you John, and thank you the person who commissioned this.

Avengers 4

I'd forgotten that one! Perhaps the inclusion of elements not on the original cover compelled my unconscious mind to discount it.

Anyway -- not a commission, but THIS would definitely count, too!

OK, color me stupid... Should have checked to see how it paralleled the original cover. Frag!

Is it me, or are the Kirby ants... wingless?

They are indeed -- yet clearly flying! Perhaps they saw this cover and got ideas…!

(For those unfamiliar, the Hulk really does fly in that issue. Only later did Stan and Jack back it up a notch to have him leaping.)

Every time I see a commission where JB gets a chance to draw Thor and or Loki, I feel a sense of longing for him to take on a Thor series. Sigh.

Quick question: Have you draw Odin outside his brief appearance during the Trial of Reed Richards, JB?

Yup. Odin made an appearance in LOST GENERATION. Here's the SPLASH of the pertinent issue.

Holy Crap that's awesome. I obviously need to finish my Lost Generation run.

Nice work.  I wish that team had stayed together a little longer.

I thought that the wings were moving so fast that they were "invisible" to the naked eye.

No...?

Rats!
