Bob Layton was asked to do the artwork for the new line of Hasbro Secret Wars figures.  He's just been allowed to start selling the art and I was psyched to be able to pick up the Ultron one.  Here's a straight scan:

and here's a colored that Bob had:

Matt, no problem.  At least now I don't have to break into your house to steal it : )

Micael - Awesome Hembeck.  He is just fantastic.  I can't wait til my piece is done.

Kevin - Layton is amazing and a super nice guy.  His artwork is some of my all-time favorite.  Congrats!

Taking a much needed break after a long evening of Mid-Ohio-Con 2009 work to scan some recent original art pickups and update my Comic Art Fans gallery.  Three from San Diego Comic-Con and one from eBay.  Enjoy!

Adam Hughes White Queen SDCC Saturday Sketch

Scott Kolins Avengers #74 Prelim

Chris Giarrusso Marvel + DC Characters

Walt Simonson X-Factor #21 Page 11

Check out my Comic Art Fans gallery for larger-size images if you want.

Awesome art, Dave!  I particularly like the Mike Allred Batcave piece.  We're hoping to get him out to Mid-Ohio-Con for our 30th anniversary in 2010, so please put in a good word for the show next time you talk to him.

The Allred turned out amazing Dave. I'm patiently waiting for mine. He described it to me in Chicago, but alas it was not finished because of all the confusion over his booking problems.

James, the Adam Hughes is magnificent.

While I was working during the latest Japan Expo in France, I managed to have a sketch from Phil Winslade, who was also attending. (this is a picture, not a scan, so sorry for the lousy shot)

been a while for me as well, got this one coming in shortly: Widow (of Course), with Cap, Bucky and the Red Skull in charge....from Gene Espy:

Mr. Aikins: Pat almost sent that Micronauts to me by "mistake".

Dave.
